Agent K Aussie Lass Mandy Newton displays some powerful pipes on debut release from Hard Rocking outfit from OZ.
Channeling Janis (RIP) & Melissa Etheridge on opener "Yellow King" she demontrates she is a force to be reckoned with.
The Band ain't about to be "F'd" with neither.
Bluesy, bar-soaked, well worn hard rock grooves seep up from the dusty trails of the outback.
Bet they go down a storm live!
One of the best debuts on BC! Favorite track: When The Darkness Comes.

paul rote I didn't use t o like female vocals in hard rock ( too weak ) I thought, but now there's a powerful new wave of female fronted rock bands, this chic is among the best. Now the only thing too weak is my heart !! Favorite track: I've Been Watching You.

about

Autonomic is the debut album from Sydney Band The Dirty Earth. It features a sizzling interception of 70’s inspired, catchy, riffy, rock with a good nod to the blues in songs like D n’ A Blues and I’ve Been Watching You. The album opener Yellow King and the broodingly beautiful Not the Rose offer a subtle wink to the overdriven, psychedelic, fuzz that guitarist - Raff Iacurto - honed in his previous band, Thumlock. Autonomic is a stunning set that show cases the powerful and impressive vocals of front woman Mandy Newton who sounds as comfortable belting out the albums rock anthems as she does with the steamy blues driven numbers. The cherry on top is the engine room who sound as tight as a drum (no pun intended)!

Recorded at Damien Gerard's May 2014, engineered by Russel Pilling, mastered by Andrew Beck.
